About
Hey there! I created this little site just to showcase some of the photos I have taken over the last couple of years as I've bounced around Europe and the post-Soviet area from my base in Moscow and now London. I am not a professional photographer in the least bit, and although I use a fancy-shmancy DSLR camera (which I bought 'used' in Moscow), I can't say I know too much about how to properly take photos. I am, however, improving bit by bit in both my photo-taking skills, as well in my photo-editing abilities, although I generally like to keep photos as un-edited as possible. If you like any photos and would like to use them for your blog or anything else, feel free to let me know. I could perhaps send you the higher quality version you have more to work with.
Anyway, a little about myself: I studied Russian and Politics/Economics as an undergrad in New York and then went off to Moscow to work in the corporate sector for a couple of years. I'm now pursuing a grad degree in International Economics in London, focusing my energies on the Eurasian region. I write every so often on Russia-related issues for the The Vostokian, which is an online journal on Eastern European and Balkan affairs started up by a good friend and serial entrepreneur Alexander Pantich. I address mostly political and economic issues, so if you're interested, just click here.
